【摘要】Located at the southern foot of the beautifulCuiwei Mountain in the Shijingshan District ofthe western suburbs of Beijing and covering anarea of 20,000 square kilometers,Fahai(Sea ofDharma)Temple was first built in the fourth yearof Zhengtong of the Ming Dynasty(1439)andwas completed in the 10th year of Zhengtong(1445).Its construction was supervised by LiTong,an imperial eunuch. Emperor Yingzhongof the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644)sent ahorizontal board with his inscription "The FahaiBuddhist Temple."
